Flat Plate Collector

The flat plate collector collects heat by mirror and is focused onto absorber pipe carrying water.​

Application 

Used for heating the space or water for commercial and industrial purposes.

Evacuated Tubular
collector

Borosilicate glass is used for concentrating solar energy on the absorbing pipe. The focused heat of sunlight is transmitted to water.

Application

Higher water temperature is obtained compared to flat pate collector for household work and industrial purposes.

Box Type Solar Cooker

The box is made up of insulated metal closed  by a toughened  glass. A plane mirror is used as the reflector to position the sun’s rays into the aluminum container kept inside the box.

Application 

It is an effective way for cooking the food where solar energy is in abundance.

Solar Dryer

The solar energy falls on solar collector and then warm/hot air is directed towards solar  dryer chamber. Thus solar drying is carried out without the impact of  rain, dust, insects, birds etc. 

Application 

They are used for domestic and industrial purposes in textile, wood, food, paper, pharmaceutical and agro – based industries.

Solar Still

The solar energy falling on the glass directed towards impure water gets heated, evaporated and then condensate on the glass cover.

Application 

Solar still is used for purifying the impure, hard or brackish water.
